Hello. Will I be able to add brake sensors to the Prime if I choose not to upgrade to the NSD?

Why is this even a question?  Is not public safety a concern of this company?   For the amount a person would pay for an e-bike this should be standard issue!  I would also be interested in fenders.   Why is everything so installation intensive?  I wouild even want turn signals for a bike that goes this fast!
Maybe I am misunderstanding these posts.  Does it come on the e-bike when it is ordered?

Ok. But the problem is nsd is not free for new customers right. My prime is in progress. Do you know how much nsd going to cost us.

You're correct. That's because the brakes supposed to be Tektro but we decided to go with a higher quality brand like Shimano since we will have this cut-off feature in the NSD using an accelerometer sensor.

Its little confusing. On the home page, its written as below.
"When you pull the brake lever, it means you don't need the motor power anymore so the system triggers and cut-off the motor power.
There is a sensor inside the lever detects when you have pulled the lever, and then a signal is sent to the controller to shut off the motor. This is a very important safety feature for powerful motors like ours with 160nm torque."

But in above post , you saying Shimao doesn't have cutoff sensor.
Which one is true. Must have NSD or brake lever has cutoff system.

Would you please let me know where you've seen this?

You also can add additional brake sensors / switches without changing the brake levers. I did so at my Nireeka Homie ;)

That's more like a DIY project. There is no standard way to do so, at least I haven't seen any. You can share some picture of your model?

The NSD, once it's available, will have a brake cut off feature. But I'm not sure if I'll want to upgrade. I've been asking this question on multiple channels but still no answer. Would sure be nice if someone from the Nireeka team could answer this.

There is the possibility to install the brake sensors but since we're using Shimao brakes, and Shimano doesn't have such input, we had to go for a software solution.

In other words, will the controller have inputs for brake sensors?

There is input for the brake sensor. If you want to do so, you need to also change the brake levers because Shimano ones don't have such input.

So I'm biking home tonight... and this thing shows up out of nowhere.   I now know that I can forcefully bunny-hop the Nireeka Homie in a pinch.   Emergency hopping a combined ~114kg (250lbs) was not fun, but I am not dead, and the bike took it like champ.   Almost 1000km ...
