Hello. Will I be able to add brake sensors to the Prime if I choose not to upgrade to the NSD?

Why is this even a question?  Is not public safety a concern of this company?   For the amount a person would pay for an e-bike this should be standard issue!  I would also be interested in fenders.   Why is everything so installation intensive?  I wouild even want turn signals for a bike that goes this fast!
Maybe I am misunderstanding these posts.  Does it come on the e-bike when it is ordered?

So I'm biking home tonight... and this thing shows up out of nowhere.   I now know that I can forcefully bunny-hop the Nireeka Homie in a pinch.   Emergency hopping a combined ~114kg (250lbs) was not fun, but I am not dead, and the bike took it like champ.   Almost 1000km ...

Are you telling me they sell a bike with a NSD that don;t work ??  am i missing something ??

You can use any light that has the red and Blue site connectors , i just bought A bafang motors light cable adapter (the Blue socket to red and black cable) it works fine!

It appears it will be about 5.5 months, yes. It is a crazy amount of time, but I ordered it before I was able to actually take possession of it anyway, so the first 3.5 months didn't bother me. Now I am a bit annoyed.

Portugal

It is scheduled to arrive at the end of this month, so we will see.  Another person just had theirs delivered without a battery and has to wait an additional 2 weeks for that???  Insanity.

This is why my profile read 'Not a Nireeka Owner'  they are lovely bikes ,but just let down by the delivery times :(

Oh, I don't think you are being negative.  I am just trying to get a vibe for the accuracy of the tracking timeline Nireeka offers.  :-)

From the feedback i have read and seen on video the wait for these bikes is very much worth it ! I'm in the UK and there is nothing on the design front like this bike !

Tim, from the time you ordered, how long did it take to receive your Prime?  It has been about 3.5 months for me and apparently it has arrived in Portugal but I am still waiting for the courier for a while now.

Hi Jeff. It took 3 months for mine and it would have been nearer 2 if DPD had not been so terrible. Hang in there Jeff…you will not be disappointed!! Are you in London??

Hey Patrick. I assume from what you wrote that you do not have your Prime yet, right?  I was told on this forum by a Nireeka rep previously that the Prime HAS a shift sensor, but VERY recent reviews on YouTube suggest otherwise b/c they keep warning of drive train strain.  I am not sure what to believe, but I know I don't want to snap my chain.  lol Luckily I have a little time to figure it out as my Prime has just been packaged and shipped a few days ago.

I am still waiting for my bike. Following the estimated time sheet my bike should be going through customs. I talked with people who have ridden mid drive bikes and loved it. They didn't have any problems. I just read Max's reply and am glad to know there is a sensor. I think these things are going to be awesome. I think a lot of times people don't think about how to operate machines. Proper input gets max performance and reliability. I hope to be off road trail riding in the snow in Minnesota very soon 🙂  Happy trails.

I bought mine in mid October.  I will post when it is shipped and when I receive it (in Europe).  Production today stands at 36%.

So the cable would run all along the frame up to the handlebars?  no good way to secure it, so that seems like a bad idea right?

There's droppers with cables on top or bottom.  Would have to zip to around frame somehow.  Or there's wireless droppers... $$$

There's also droppers that have a lever under seat... makes most sense in this case.

Not meant as advice, just my experience. I ordered a Prime 3 days ago. I am 6' (185cm) and was right in the middle of the 2 frame sizes and the rep at Nireeka told me to order the large frame. Fingers crossed.   That Youtube video does sound familiar and I recall being surprised by the reviewers comment.

Hello. Is the delivery tracking timeline at all accurate?  My Prime apparently arrived in Portugal a month ago, and has been cleared by Customs, etc...but has been "waiting for courier" for 5 days already.  I assume Nireeka's timeline tracker is a wild estimate, but curious how others' experiences have been? ...

wow ! thats nearly 6 months ??  seems a crazy time to wait for a bike to me :(

Is delivery timeline accurate?

I am confused about something. If the Prime comes with a shift sensor (which shuts the motor off when shifting), then doesn't that prevent the excessive strain on the chain? I watched a lot of Youtube reviews, and read the comments, and that is what everyone worries about re. high ...

Jeff, all the Prime bikes after Jan 2021 come standard with Shift Sensor. Most of the reviews are from the bikes before that date; there are thousands of bikes, of course.

After adding the shift sensor and changing some of the drivetrain components, we barely had this issue again.

One thing that you need to bear in mind is that the shift sensor protects the drivetrain when you're shifting however, it cannot detect if you're in the correct gear when you start riding and if you're on the highest PAS/Sport mode.

Here are some riding tips:
- Don't start from the highest gear (same for the non-ebikes)
- Don't start on PAS 3 or higher
- Don't start full-throttle

You don't start driving your car from gear 5 or full-throttle, do you? :)

Shift sensor?

6 weeks in and just hit 80% for my Prime.  How long as the build taken for others? This is painful to wait, and then know there are still ~2 months for shipping.

23 months, 1 week and 5 days. And still waiting. That's right. i paid for my Prime almost TWO YEARS ago. I've opened two support tickets asking
"what's up with delivery?" .... the only reply received has been

"Someone will get back to you."  Then ... SILENCE.

Call me a "less than pleased, prepaid customer."

Is there any way to add a dropper seat post to the Prime?  I assume you cannot, but maybe?

It's possible but the cable will be external.

Hello - does the Prime have any built in sensor that shuts the motor off when the brakes are applied?  I think that is called a brake sensor?

Jeff, there is no brake sensor on the Prime since we're using Shimano hydraulic brakes and there is no built-in sensor on these brakes. However, we have shift sensor that shuts the motor off when shifting the gear to protect the drivetrain.
