All you need to know about the Homie assist system
Standard assist system:
Speed Sensor
The Cadence sensors detect the pedal movement only and not the force you're applying. Cadence sensors are great if you have knee sensitivities and don’t want to put a lot of pressure on them, all you have to do here is cycle the cranks around lightly to get the motor assistance.
Type | Speed Sensor |
Signals (Pulses/Cycle) | 32 |
Input Voltage(DCV) | 4.5 - 5.5 |
Operation Temperature | -20 - 45℃ |
Shaft Standard | JIS |
Weight (g) | 305 |
BB Width(mm) | 68 |
Mounting Position | Bottom Bracket |
IP | IP X5 |
Certifications | EN 15194 / EN 14764 / ROHS |
Optional assist system (upgrade):
Torque Sensor
The torque sensor senses the force you're applying to the pedals, so the motor provides the appropriate torque based on that.
Therefore, the torque sensor will be more accurate compared to the Cadence sensor.
