Hi Chris, When I plug the charger into the battery there is always a big spark even though the charger is not plugged into the wall outlet. Is this normal?

I have an older homie frame number 97. I have only had the bike for two months and have had both tubes start leaking on the inside towards the rim.When I tried to remove the back rim I went to utube to look how to remove the rim from the frame.The video shows a connector in the wire going back to the motor. I cannot find that connector on my bike.How can you remove the rim without a connector.?
